Introduction

This catalog lists every genealogical CD-ROM in our collection. Here's a quick introduction to this catalog:
1. Click on the links to the left to select your area intrest. Use the scroll bar to see the entire list. The 'Master List' shows all of our CD-ROMs in alphabetical order by title.
2. Use the main window to explore our holdings. See if our CD-ROMs cover the area and dates which are important to you.

4. Once you find something, note the CD number (or the kind of record) and ask the attendant. In the examples above, ask for CD 001. Many of our CD-ROMs are now on our server, so you will not have to actually handle the discs. Check the listings to be sure.
5. Look at the CD-ROM itself to discover which kind it is. The most popular ones are Automated Archives and Family Tree Maker.
6. Insert the CD-ROM into the computer.
7. Close of minimize this window to access the computer's desktop.
8. Open the appropriate icon for the CD-ROM you selected:

1870 CensusInsert the CD. In a moment a brown screen will appear. Click on the word "Run".
1880 CensusUse the Vital Records icon.
Automated ArchivesUse the Automate Archives icon.
Family Tree MakerUse the Family Tree Maker icon. (FTM requires an open database in order to enable the "View CD" icon.)
Pedigree Resource FileUse the PRF icon.
Vital Records IndexUse the Vital Records icon.

To print a listing, or this introduction: Right-click on the text you want to print, and select the Print command. Choosing Print from the file menu won't print what you want.
